Pray for the Children!

In light of what happened in Connecticut recently with the children that were killed,I feel impressed to repeat this message that I wrote two years ago: 

It is so important between Oct. 31 and throughout the winter for parents to keep an extra watch over their little children. This is a season where Satan plots and plans to hurt children. It starts with Halloween on Oct 31, a satanic holiday. Celebrating this holiday could open the door for satanic activity in a child’s life. On this day Satan starts to war against children and it is so important to watch out for your children especially during the succeeding winter holidays. In doing any holiday shopping please hold your kids hands tight at all times.

For those of you that have small children it is so important, not only during this time but all year to read the word of God or a bible story to them and pray with them before they go to sleep. This puts the word of God in them as they drift off to sleep. It will help to protect them for any fear during the night. It is also so important to pray with them before they go out in the morning.

Little kids have spirits that are so open and it is important to put the word of God in them at an early age. Satan and the world are trying to place things in their spirits and it is so important to fill their hearts with the word and love of Jesus. I believe that we are in the “last days” and if we are feeling the pressure of the world, imagine the pressures that our kids could be feeling. They have it so much harder that we did in growing up.

We as parents have a responsibility to feed, clothe and take care of our children but our most important responsibility is bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. God will judge us on how we instilled Jesus, His word and values into their lives. We are responsible to help bring spiritual values into their lives so when Mommy and Daddy are not around they will look to Jesus.

A child is a “purpose” wrapped in a body that is developing and it is the spirit of Antichrist that wants to stop their purpose. This spirit was really active when Herod killed all the children two years old and under (Matt. 2:16). When Herod’s plan to find out where Messiah was born failed with the wise men, the spirit of murder rose up. He killed all the children two years old and under. The spirit that was driving Herod was this spirit of antichrist, trying to stop Jesus’ purpose, but also the purposes of the innocent children that were killed. The same spirit of antichrist or anti purpose was involved with this killing of the infants. The same spirit was active when the Pharaoh in Egypt was killing male babies when Moses was saved by Pharaoh’s daughter. There have been over 54 million children killed by abortion since 1973. This method (abortion) is the main way that the enemy wants to stop a purpose i.e. stop it before it can develop in a child’s life!

A couple of years ago I was encouraging people in my ministry in the Bahamas during the holidays and in the United States about this topic. When I got home from the Bahamas, I heard about a seaplane that went down in Florida, killing two infants. A little while before that a boy got killed in Chicago when a plane went off the runway. Some would say that this is just a coincidence and that people die every day. A few years ago right around the holidays, the day before the Tsunami hit Sir Lanka, I told people at a meeting to pray for children, that something strong was coming to destroy. How many thousands of children died, due to this tragedy?

Again, a child is a purpose from God. The enemy wants to stop this. Please pray for the children as a whole, especially during this time. As parents, do your part to follow Jesus with all your heart and your children will see your devotion to Him and want that same relationship. Instruct your kids in the ways of the Lord and they will not depart from them! Remember, Jesus has all power over Satan but you have to be watchful over your children. Don’t give place to the devil (Eph. 4:27). If you do your part with your children Jesus will do the rest!
