Enter into His Rest!

Are you tired and worn out? Then this message is for you. I want to talk about the rest that the Lord (Yahweh) wants to give us. The rest that I want to talk about in this message is a rest that is not depended on circumstance, but to rest in the spirit on the fact that Yahweh has everything under control. In Matt. 11: 28-30 Yahshua says to “come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” In Hebrews Chapter 4 the word says in verse 2 that the way we receive this rest is by hearing the word with faith, by attaching faith to the preached word. In verse 11 the word says to labour to enter into this rest and verse 12 explains why- because the word is quick and powerful. Nothing in the world can come against the word of God successfully. We need to rest in this fact. A lot of people can get a rest in the flesh when things start to work out in the natural. In Psalm 95:8-11 the Yahweh says that His people in the wilderness tempted Him, even after He did so many miracles for them. He then says that He swears that they could not enter into His rest. You see they only rested when the Father did a miracle in there circumstances. When He “bailed” them out they rested in the flesh but as soon as another trial came they crumpled. They never got a rest in the spirit. Even after the Father knocked down Jericho they came against a little city called Ai and panicked and ran away (Joshua 7:1-5).

In 1 Kings Chapter 17 there is a story about Elijah and the widow lady. The Father did a miracle after she gave Elijah some of her last day of food. As a result of her faith, her cruse of oil and her barrel of meal didn’t waste until the famine was over. Her son died later and God used Elijah to raise him from the dead. She then said in verse 24 that she now believes that he is a man of God. She didn’t believe in him even after the food was multiplied! She believed in him after her son was raised up from the dead. The reason for this was that the food affected her belly but the raising of her son touched her spirit. You see she didn’t rest in the spirit until her son was raised. Almost anybody in the world can enter some kind of rest when their natural circumstances are O.K. The rest that I am talking about is the rest that you have in your spirit by faith that defies the circumstances. You have to cast your care of the circumstances onto the Lord, not caring if they ever change. If they change or not it is totally up to Him. You just don’t care. I know that this is not easy but you have to enter into this rest by faith, asking Him to strengthen you to do so. You have to rest in the word that He will not give you any more than you can handle, but by the temptation give you the way of escape. Also, you have to rest in the fact that everything was created by the Father and for Him, whether they be thrones, principalities or dominions. He was before all things and by Him all things consist (Col. 1:6-17). He has everything under control as He is the ultimate Controller.

Yahshua paid a great price in getting this rest to us: “but He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace (rest) was upon Him and with His stripes we were healed.” Is. 53:5. Please take advantage of this peace or rest. This rest is only obtainable in the Spirit of God- for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteous and peace (rest) and joy in the Holy Ghost. Draw closer to Him and He will escort you into this rest. With everything that is happening in the world where the spirit of antichrist is already moving powerfully you need to jump into and remain in the Lord’s rest and peace. Remember He is in control of everything and everybody. Just turn your flesh over to the Holy Spirit to mortify the deeds of the flesh and allow Him to conform you into the image of Yahshua. By continuing to do this you can obtain that rest when you’re justified and allowing the Holy Spirit to sanctify you.

As a result of entering into His rest, the Father can lead people to you that are scared and troubled by the happenings in the world. They need the peace that you have in your spirit. During the Tribulation, the ones who will give up their lives rather than take the mark of the Beast will have this rest in the spirit knowing they are going home. Just like the 3 Hebrew children- they were not going to bow before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had erected: they didn’t care if they burnt or not (Dan. 3:18). Daniel had this rest also in the lion’s den (Dan. 6:22). This rest was contagious- it even fell on the lions and put them to sleep.

Press into the Holy Spirit to enter that rest. You’ll never be the same.
