UNLEAVENED BREAD
The feast of Unleavened Bread is a seven day feast that runs from Nisan 15-Nisan 21. It is a seven day Feast that starts on the next day after Passover. This year, Nisan 15 starts at 6:00 P.M. on Apr. 5 and ends at 6:00 P.M. on April 13 (Nisan 21). In Exodus 12:15-19 God (Elohim) commands the people of Israel to keep the feast by putting all leaven (type of sin) out of their houses and eat unleavened bread. They were to keep this feast forever. The first day of the feast was a holy Sabbath and the last day. This feast points to Jesus (Yahshua) cleaning us, trying to take all our fleshly desires that are contrary to his word out of our lives. He is the one that is applying the pressure to clean us up at the early part of the year to ready us for blessing and positioning into purpose. Sometimes we have blamed Satan for pressure but if we turn our flesh over to the Spirit of our Father for Him to mortify the deeds of the flesh and conform us into the image of Yahshua the pressure come for the most part from the Spirit of the Father.
There were some great events that happened during the time period of Nisan 15-21 during the Feast of Unleavened Bread:
1.) The Red Sea was opened on Nisan 17(starts at 6:00 P.M. on April 5).
2.) Noah’s ark rested on Mt. Arafat on Nisan 17(starts at 6:00 P.M. on April 5).
3.) The Feast of Firstfruits starts during this feast of Unleavened Bread. This year this feast starts at 6:00 P.M. on Apr. 7 (Nisan 18) and ends at 6:00 P.M. on May 25 (Sivan 6) on Pentecost.
4.) The Israelites left Egypt the day after Passover- Nisan 15 (starts at 6:00 P.M. on April 5)
5.) Joshua surrounded Jericho during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. On the seventh day, the last day of Unleavened Bread (Nisan 21 which starts at 6:00 P.M. on April 13), is when the walls of Jericho came down. (Joshua 5:10-12-6:3-27).
6.) Yahshua was circumcised on the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread (which starts at 6:00 P.M. on April 13) (please see my message on when was Yahshua born, when did He die and when did He rise under "Messages."
7.) Yahshua rose on Nisan 17(starts at 6:00 P.M. on April 7).
8. Haman was killed on Nisan 17(starts at 6:00 P.M. on April 7).
The Jews were told to remove all leaven out of their house during this time period (Lev. 23 v.6). Leaven is a type of sin. This season is a period of time where God wants to purify us. Jesus fulfilled this Feast by leading a sinless life and being circumcised on the last day of Unleavened Bread.
To receive from God, we have to know and apply His seasons. There is a special anointing on this feast to remove those sinful habits out of lives quickly and forever. We need to get into His presence and as He points out those areas of our lives that need to changed, we need to submit those areas to Him to change. If we respond to Him during this feast in honesty, there is an excellent possibility that these weaknesses would never pop up again to interfere with our destinies! Although He can change us any time, remember that this is a special time of consecration for Him to remove some of those hindrances out of lives once and for all.
As a reminder, during this season and in every season, God wants access to change us into the image of Jesus. There is such a special anointing during this time that the things that you allow Him to remove out of your life may never come back again. This is another reason why knowing God’s seasons can be so invaluable. Also, as you release situations and people that are attacking you, there is an excellent possibility that He can remove these attacks and the people who are doing them out of your life once and for all. This can all happen during this season of purification.
Most Christians don’t realize the power in God’s seasons and carry these sins and circumstances from one season to another. It is similar to putting the garbage out to be picked up. There are certain days that garbage is picked up. It would be foolish to put the garbage out on days that there is no pick up. But when it is the right time, all the garbage that you leave out will be picked up. The people picking up the trash will not bring it back. All the garbage that you allow God to pick up during this time will be removed once and for all. Only you can allow garbage back into your life. This is such a powerful season. Take advantage of it.
Another thing that God wants to remove out of our lives, especially during this season, is the Goliath that is dictating your life. David knew that He could destroy all the Philistines if he killed Goliath(1 Samuel Chapter 17) since the giant was their leader. Goliath was the one that was doing all the threatening. The other Philistines were hiding behind him.
There are issues in your life that are there because a Goliath is present. Goliath could be an incident in a woman’s life where she was sexually assaulted at a young age. This event or Goliath has given her a fear, especially a fear of men, depression, anxiety, blame and a feeling of being ashamed. These all are Philistines who will be destroyed when God destroys the power of this Goliath. They would not be there, except for Goliath. There is no sense in just treating the results of the incident. Goliath must be identified and destroyed by the power of God.
Another Goliath could be a poor father image, because a father mistreated his family. This could have a profound effect on a boy in the family fulfilling his role as a husband and father later on. He may act just like his father because he doesn’t know better. Once God can destroy the power of this poor father image, the son will start acting more like His heavenly Father.
So during this season, it so important to come into God’s presence and allow Him to point out that Goliath is the source of your problem. Once He reveals who or what this Goliath is, He can destroy the power of this Goliath in your life and start fulfilling your destiny. David knew that Goliath was in the way of his destiny as king of Israel, and God had anointed him to be king through the Prophet Samuel. As a result, he knew that God would destroy Goliath if he confronted him. By the power of the Spirit of the Father, confront your Goliath, as God reveals who or what it is. You will be coming against it in the Name of the Lord, like David, and it, too, has to fall.
